 Amwell's Car Alert combines the latest cell phone and auto alarm technology.
When the alarm is triggered, you immediately receive a phone call from your car and a human voice tells you what happened (for example: car door is open). Then you can interact with your car and tell it what you want it to do. In addition, the Car Alert can be used as a hands free cell phone.

What do I get with a Car Alert?
 The most important thing you get with a Car Alert is peace of mind! Your car simply cannot be stolen when the Car Alert system is armed. And, you can always check on the status of your car from wherever you are. You can control your car's functions from anywhere in the world and "keep in touch" with your car 24/7 365 days a year.

Is this a tracking system?
 The Car Alert is not a tracking system. It is a total-car security system that prevents your vehicle from being stolen, vandalized or taken for joy ride.

Can my car be located?
 Yes. Your Car can be located within a range of 300 feet by your telephone company and police.

Can the Car Alert be moved from car to car?
 The Car Alert is not a portable device. It is permanently installed in a car. However, it can be uninstalled and then reinstalled in another vehicle.

Can the Car Alert be operated by more than one telephone?
 Yes, The Car Alert can be programmed to be controlled by multiple telephones.

Do I need a SIM card?
 Yes. A SIM card gives you an additional cell phone line. Cell phone service must be obtained from any phone service provider. Or, a prepaid SIM card can be obtained before installation.

Will a BlackBerry work with the Car Alert system?
 Any telephone with touch-tone service will work with the Car Alert security system.

Will Minivan remote functions be duplicated?
 Car remote functions remain the same. The Car Alert works independently.

Is the Car Alert a remote starter?
 The Car Alert model T360-500 is an interactive security device operated by telephone. At your command, it will DISABLE or ENABLE a vehicle's engine from starting.

Are there any extra charges s to operate a Car Alert?
 The only additional cost to operate a Car Alert is the initial installation and purchase of a SIM card from a cell phone service provider.

Does the Car Alert work in underground parking garages or in tunnels?
 The Car Alert works everywhere you receive cellular phone signals
